About Clark Crewe | Psychotherapist in Chelsea
MSc (Distinction), UKCP Accredited Humanistic Psychotherapist
I am a humanistic psychotherapist offering individual therapy from my practice in Chelsea, Central London. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, shame, self-esteem, stress, or a sense of feeling stuck.
My Approach
At the core of my practice is a humanistic and relational approach. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is not to tell you how you should feel or what you should do, but to understand your experience with you.
I work in a gentle but direct way, paying attention not only to what has happened in your life, but to what is happening for you in the present moment. Sometimes that means slowing things down and staying with a feeling; at other times we might become curious about a pattern in your relationships, or how an earlier experience continues to shape the way you relate to yourself and others.
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. Therapy is something we work out together, at a pace that allows us to understand what is happening beneath the surface rather than simply trying to make difficult feelings go away.
Experience and Perspective
Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I continue to work in Film and Television, where I have spent 15 years in senior roles, including at a BAFTA award-winning production company.
This gives me a particular understanding of creative and high-pressure environments, including the pressures of responsibility, performance and burnout. For those working in these worlds, it can also mean spending less time explaining the context and more time understanding how it affects you.
Training & Clinical Experience
I hold an MSc with Distinction in Humanistic Psychotherapy. My clinical experience spans NHS crisis services, higher education including the Central School of Speech and Drama, and specialised counselling services.
These roles have given me experience working with a broad range of emotional and relational difficulties, including more complex presentations, while maintaining clear boundaries and a high standard of ethical practice.
I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and work in accordance with its Code of Ethics.
